Proper drinks that stand on their own.
Schmaltz is all about making drinks you actually want. Properly brewed, easy to drink and built for the moments that matter - shared tables, long chats, good company and staying a little longer.
Our Story
We’re a local Hull couple who have always loved beer - not just for what’s in the glass, but for how it fits into life. That first cold sip. The start of a good conversation. A round with friends that turns into another hour around the table.
But when we stopped drinking alcohol, going out often meant choosing from the same limited options. Too often, alcohol-free drinkers were expected to settle for whatever happened to be available.
So we made our own.
Schmaltz was created to deliver that same familiar feeling: a refreshing, sessionable drink that tastes good, looks good and feels right at home in the moment. Something you reach for because you want it - not because it is the only alcohol-free option.
Made in Hull. Rooted in Yorkshire
Where we’re from shapes how we do things. Straightforward, unpretentious and done properly. Hull runs through the beer, the artwork and the way we speak, without making a song and dance about it.
Made for the moment
Schmaltz fits naturally into life: at the pub, around the table, at a gig, at an event or at home. It holds its own whether you’re the only one drinking it or everyone else wants one too.
The alcohol is simply not part of the recipe. Everything else that matters is.
